Our mission

Founded in 2023, Locally Served, is a nonprofit organization that provides free legal assistance to people and families with disabilities in Allegheny County, PA in conjunction with wraparound social work and client advocacy support. The organization is unique in its dual focus on both family and criminal defense as well as its focus on individuals with disabilities. Furthermore, Locally Served connects clients with services such as mental health or substance abuse treatment, helps them apply for and obtain public benefits or SSI and represents them on adjacent legal matters such as housing, utilities, and expungements.  By addressing these issues, Locally Served is better poised to prevent unjust family separation and  and reduce criminal justice involvement.

Inclusion, Reunification, Decarceration
To provide individuals and families with a compassionate, thoughtful team of attorneys and social workers who can understand their clients' legal and personal obstacles to a successful future. Reduce delays in court proceedings by getting involved early, understanding the history of the family, context of the charges, and collecting documentation and diagnoses as early as possible.
